kyoorius design yatra 2006

a train journey we will never forget...it was around september we went to goa for kyoorius design yatra....a journey in secondclass...with no food...luckily called a senior of ours Kiran, to arrange and get food at 11pm for us at vasai station...it was sweet of him to take extra effort after hi swork to arrange this for us. reaching goa we had a cottage to ourselves where the whole class with an undergradi=uate batch lived happily and enjoyed the beach and sounds of the waves till late in the night. the event was organised to gve us free booze but the best was the beach and the silence during the sunrise. we had the most awesome food with pomfret and prawns that were yummy and enjoyed drinking till midnight.....overall a good fun trip

majhya gharat la ganapati bappa

its been a traditionally a very heartwarming occasion during the 5 days of ganesh festivals that is celebrated in our household for years. its one time in the year when everyone visits our house for the ganapati darshan and sweets and blessings are shared in plenty. starting from the 1st day then festival also brings everyone close. baba and aai are very busy with preparations when me and my sister are eagerly waiting for all th relatives and cousions to meet. On the first day a special meal is being prepared for the occasion which includes ganapati bappas favourite "modak" they are the yummiest things to eat that just melt in your mouth. mumbai is dazzling with lights in the streets as its also a festival celebrated by everyone around to get communities together. dances, music, competitions, traditional programmes are all a part of this fest....as they all sing" ganapati bappa morya...pudhchya varshi lavkar ya"
